Weekend Reflection: Strengths and WeaknessesFriday, December 06, 2013
To embody the perfect life is to have no weaknesses, but no one is perfect and there is not one person in this world who does not have a weakness. We all have something that we are not good at and at a young age we are pressured to embrace our weaknesses by working towards making them into our strengths. It was not until I read this book that I realized that all the time that I have spent working on improving a weakness that I could have built my strengths into something amazing.
I could spend years improving my mathematical skills, but I will never be as fast calculating a problem in my head like a person who was born with the ability to solve them at a quicker speed (and I say all of this with studies that I have read and researched). The minute you find something you enjoy, you are bound to excel in that subject matter faster than you would something that you dislike. So do not fret about your weaknesses and work to improve your strengths. With all the time you spend working on something you are passionate about, you'll find a career in it and never have to work a day in your life.
