Nothing is more painful than seeing a super soft bed sheet getting worn out from regular usage. After noticing the thread weaves of my bed sheet starting to pull apart, I wanted to figure out a way to salvage it. After a few minutes of brainstorming, I decided a simple swimsuit cover would be a cute way to save the majority of the fabric.
I recycled the elastic of the bed sheet as the halter and waist band and the majority of the dress were simply long strips in a shape of rectangles. The bodice was stretched with the elastic waistband to create the ruching effect. Overall, the project took me a good 20 minutes to make and I am quite pleased with the results!
What would you have made if you were to recycle your bed sheet? Let me know in the comments below!
